Do you need to scan your negatives and slides in a holder when flatbed
scanning? i.e. can or can't you just put the negative directly on the glass?

Are there any after market maker's of negative holders for either system
for
127 film?

I've used it successfully for 120 and 4 x 5 as well as lantern slides. Not
too good for 35mm except for proofing, but then you can double the size (or
more) of the proof sheet. Pricey, but really a nice unit.
