Subject: [Leica] Couple of E-330 shots -- Naming the Leicapus - Olyca?
From: datamaster at northcoastphotos.com (Gary Todoroff)
Date: Thu Mar 9 11:20:06 2006

B.D. and Tom - Hey, not bad! Olyka or Olyca - it's one syllable shorter than
OlympuLeic and has a nice style and ring to it, especially with the accent
on the second syllable. It gives Olympus the first place in the word and
three out of the five letters. But it sounds the most like Leica (Olyca =
O-like'-a) and looks a bit like Leica in the Olyca version .

Decisions, decisions . . .

With my Macromedia "Contribute 2" web maintenance software, changes to the
blog page are simple. So nothing etched in stone yet.

Olyca - - - Hmmmmm . . . . .

Phillipe - you just posted "Lympa". Cool, just two syllables with Leica on
BOTH sides of the 'ymp' . Man, what a creative group!

Gary
(Tree LUGger)

P.S. - Neal - taken any more photos with the E-330 yet?

Olyka - pronounced Oh Like ah.
I know folks here are leicacentric, but it's an Olympus camera, so the
camera company name has to come first....;-)
