"S***kickers" refers especially to the really pointy variety of cowboy boot: when you're out on the range and swing through a pile of cowpie your boot plows right on through, turning it aside without any sticking. That's the theory anyway. It also refers, generally, to a certain class of folks prone to wearing them. Those styles of boots are also called "roachstompers" because the varmints can't escape into any corner where you can't reach 'em. And "fenceclimbers", for obvious reasons. Cheers, Arche
