Your friend could start by looking for dedicated, aircraft-mounted aerial photo equipment. That used to be pretty high-dollar stuff, but with IS technology and such, it might be more reasonable these days. Cool little rag wing, that Piper. One of the first private planes my father took me up in was a Piper J-3 Cub, an earlier version of your buddy's plane. As I recall, it had a stall speed slightly less than that of your average octogenarian piloting a walker.
