Thanks Luis,
The shots were just snaps from a roll I hurried through the day I got
the lens.

I went to a car show yesterday evening and shot several more rolls. I
had a choice of lenses but I opted for the 50/2.8 over the others for
most shots. I especially like the 50/2.8 for close distances. I
photographed a lot of the trim and logos on some old American Muscle
cars from the late 60' and early 70's.

I say it was a car show, but really it wasn't. I discovered that there's
a weekly gathering in a nearby town of newer and restored vehicles --
cars and motorcycles -- that starts in March and runs through he fall.
Cars from the surrounding area park at a local diner on Friday nights.

I was shocked at the number and the quality of the vehicles. I guess I
shouldn't be too surprised since I'm in the heart of NASCAR country.
With fuel prices where they are, I'll bet it's not pleasant to fill up
the tanks, and I'm sure the average MPG of the fleet was single digits.

Some beautiful cars, though. I love it when there's a wealth of subject
matter to photograph.
