Petrol (lowest grade) is now at 0.99 at some of my local places, which
equates to about $8 a gallon US. Couple that with cars about 35% more
than most places, add around $300 per year road tax, and you soon
realise that driving is an expensive 'luxury' here in southern England
where congestion is some of the heaviest in Europe.
