Except that you need to know Chinese to use taxis - I have yet to meet a 
taxi driver who can speak or understand English - they all tend to be 
from the mainland. I always have the hotel name and address written in 
Chinese on my person whenever I am in Hong Kong in case I have to use a 
taxi.
