What's wrong with the Airstream RV?

There must be a good story here.

In '72 I had to clean and reassemble the rocker arm assembly and the 
hydraulic lifters in the engine in my '59 schoolbus-converted-to-RV, on 
the road in Greeley, Colorado.

No one around for miles and miles.  The kids played in the fields while 
my wife worried that I'd screw it up.
