Got to play with a Sony Alpha DSLR yesterday at a Sony store. Fairly
impressive bit of hardware. 10MP for less than $1000 with image
stabalization and dust removal. Promised Zeiss lenses (a few anyway).
View finder was pretty bright. I hear it is partially a Minolta body
but heavily worked over by Sony. If it performs well, that price is
tempting, but I would wait to see if it takes off. If not, you would
have a body with a lot of promised lenses. It does have the same lens
mount as the Minolta (A mount), so there are lots of lenses out there
that will work and I always thought Minolta made a fairly good lens.
