Luis, by chance one of these lenses has currently surfaced on that famous
auction site, in Australia, with some good pics of the lens. I am amazed at
just how compact this lens is. I can see your point regarding just how
unobtrusive this combination might be. No doubt it helps to have some skill
to use it properly! I try to carry my little Contax T3 to practise this,
I like the (2.8 35mm Sonnar)lens very much, but of course, it still has
motors going bzzzt, and AF as a default. Which really is part of what led me
to Leica. Just that discreet click of the shutter.

You can count me in for that lunch, Leicas, libations and lovely ladies if I
ever visit.

Cheers
Hoppy

Hi Hoppy,

Now I understand your comments, I was not an user of old Leica lenses,
everyone has his own taste and preferences on photography, the old Leica
lenses give a special mood different IMO to any other lens.

The 28 and an old camera has two advantages, probably many people don't
think it still runs!, I was on a table near the girl, I was looking
"distracting" on the VF ... and "click" the silent and warm Leica "click",
of course I have estimated focusing and light.

Next time you go with me and maybe we have the luck to share two beers with
two other ladies with beers.

Thanks again for your comments
Luis

Hi Luis, sorry I should write more clearly.
Firstly I meant that the images looked a little low contrast and with less
detail in the darker areas. But I am only seeing little versions on
photonet.
I understand what you said about the older lens. Many Leica folks prize the
look from the older lenses. So I will probably be thrown out of the LUG for
commenting!

Regarding the second question, I meant that the woman's hands behind the
bottle were a little distracting to me in the first photo.
But I know this is an un-posed photo. I do prefer the pose and the second
woman in the background.
I have to try to take some candid photos to learn. Thanks for the
inspiration.
Also, you have very attractive beer drinkers in Espana.

Cheers
Hoppy
