The CD format will be around for a long long long time.
There's no reason to abandon it in favor of DVD or Blu-Ray or anything else. 
It's the same size as newer formats and can be read with the same drive, and 
millions of people use CDs as archival storage.

USB is also going to be around for a long long long time.
With USB2 it's now fast enough that there's not a huge need for a 
replacement format, and if they do come up with a replacement, it will be 
USB3 and be backwards compatible.

1394 is going to fade away. It's not enough better than USB to warrant the 
extra complexity of its implementation.
