mud.  The screws had evidently vibrated loose on a violent jeep 
ride.  We found all of the screws by scooping up mud and rubbing it 
through our hands. I washed everything and put it back together and 
continued to use it.

I guess after all of these stories, it's a good thing I don't plan on 
selling my very used equipment on the LUG!
