Subject: [Leica] New Leica 28mm 2.8 ASPH lens

If you analyze the Leica pricing, it is $1000 per faster F stop. ( see the
35/1.4 ASPH and the 35/2 ASPH at B+H for a $3400 vs
$2200 price))

If the 28/2 ASPH Sells for $3200, then, using my logical but fully
uninformed guesstimate, the 28/2.8 ASPH should be $2000- $2200.

I own the T-E First generation. Being as it has 28/4 as one of the focal
lengths, this lens is a bit marginal. It is too close to
what I now own. I would probably be better off with the (unobtanium) 28/2
ASPH.

OK.. rationalization time.... I will wait for the (super unobtanium) 28/1.4
ASPH., for which there is not even a badly faked
picture.

I feel better.
