Subject: [Leica] M8 alternative? --- why not wait?

If these micro-lenses on the sensor combined with in-camera image processing
work as well as they do in the M8, it is interesting to speculate about the
future of the four thirds system. It could mean some very small and/or very
fast less telecentric four thirds lenses in the future. There would of
course be some loss of backwards compatibility of new lenses with old
bodies. Simply scaling down a full frame 35mm lense to 4/3 size would yieild
a lens with the same speed and angle of view but one eighth the volume and
weight.
