I stayed with a family in a rural mountain village in Guatemala this 
trip.  Early in the morning, before daylight, the women were in the 
kitchen slapping out tortillas by firelight and I was taking 
pictures.  A cell phone rang and the youngest woman reached in the 
pocket of her traditional hand-woven apron and took out the cell 
phone to answer it.  It was someone calling to make an appointment to 
see the dentist at the clinics that we were having later that 
day.  Unbelievable!  Cell phones have changed communication more than 
anything else ever has.
