However if the name of the seller is Stan Metcalfe of Ottawa or a relative 
you can be assured this equipent will be brand new and probably in original 
boxes.

Of interest... Stan loved Leica gear with a passion, was an amateur of sorts 
and rarely took pictures. However he had money with an open purchase order 
with thelocal  Leica dealer that any new piece of whatever that came out 
from Leica .... buy it and put it on his account. Oh that kind of money must 
be wonderful at times. :-)

This purchase order was as open as you can imagine. When a new 400mm 2.8 
came out the dealer just ordered it and Stan paid for it with never any 
questions nor price discussed!  And this went on for years so he had, has? 
this magnificent collection which would be in he neighbourhood of the 
$45,000 amount.

Absolutely prince of a man!
