Didn't Apple break up the original Aperture development team because they 
were so disappointed with the result?

Anyway, as a PC owner, Lightroom seems to be making decent progress - Beta 4 
is pretty good, I think.

If you're buying a Mac just to use Aperture you may want to Google Aperture
right now. There's still allot of disgruntled Mac users who bought Aperture.
Abode's Lightroom gets better reviews.
