It is a beautiful, sunny, brisk fall day. A good short route to see the best display would be to cross the Tappan Zee bridge heading west, drive up RT. 9W into Bear Mountain Park, make a side trip up Perkins Peak, then cross the Bear Mountain Bridge heading east, and head back toward NYC on Rt. 9. I've rarely seen it this lovely. Apparently the lousy summer weather paid dividends. Larry Z
