I get around 1500 pictures per battery charge, even in the winter. I live in a place that is cold in the winter, perhaps not by Canadian standards but cold enough to affect batteries. So, from what I hear, if I go for a walk in Amsterdam with the M8 this time of year, the battery will be dead before I have filled up a 1GB card. That is just unacceptable. Perhaps they will sell enough of them to make it worthwhile for aftermarket battery makers to produce non-Leica batteries.
