Sonny,

There is a lot of truth to what you have written here...when you are 
more interested in making photos or whatever you often miss those things 
"live".   I used to have people say after the a major sporting event 
"wow did you see such and such play"...No I did not "see" it...I may 
have photos of it but I did not see it.  Big difference there.
