I really did love that Nikon though. I really DO miss my old Konica Hexar AF (black) though. That thing was amazing. I miss my M2 but I use my M4 so much more that the M2 may have become a pretty thing for the bookshelf. -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+photo.forrest=earthlink.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+photo.forrest=earthlink.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of David Rodgers Sent: Thursday, November 16, 2006 10:26 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: [Leica] Cameras I miss but don't miss...most Hoppy wrote: >>Camera Exchange didn't want to know about my Mamiya 645 I was looking to sell.<< Hoppy Time for a little retrospective. Your mention of the Mamiya 645 reminded me of just how much things have changed. I started thinking about cameras for which I had a particular fondness. They are cameras I sometimes wish I still owned. But I know that if I did own them I wouldn't use them. For me it's the Mamiya 6MF. That was my camera of choice, and just about the only one I used for a long period of time. Then one day I stopped using it. I can't recall why, exactly, but I think it coincided with my buying an LS-30 Coolscan about six years ago. That pushed me back to 35mm and my Leica M. Eventually I sold the Mam6MF. I almost bought another one recently, but I held back. The price was tempting but it's doubtful that I'd use it. Anyone else have a camera they miss but don't miss? _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
