Yes, George, I was referring to the doggy romp pic. I never thought about 
any IS involvement.

I'm assuming that you're referring to the dog photo when you mention  
the "lens baby." Actually that image was made while testing a Canon  
70-200 2.8 IS L USM with a 2x extender. The IS has two settings 1 for  
general use and 2 for panning shots. The 2 setting only stabilizes  
for vertical motion (if you're panning horizontally) or visa versa if  
panning vertically. In any event it seems to work fairly well. The  
lens is way too big, heavy and auto for my taste. But I'm still testing.
