I don't necessarily mind grain in B&W, but I've shot too much large 
format to require it to have grain, or to think that grain 'makes' 
B&W. When shooting 35mm one gets very used to grain, so we come to 
think of it as 'natural' while grainless is 'artificial'.

Actually, it's the other way around, it's just our sensibilities that 
have gotten modified.
