In the days of film and darkroom, grandpa could easily be cropped out.
Surely he could be digitally neutralized :).

IMHO, the kid has a tad better expression and the headless belly dancer
seems more forgiving in the picture which included the grandpa (just my 02
worth).

The lens did remarkably well wide open. I wonder whether it was Cosina, CZ
or Leica?
