Hi Rick,
Both interesting photographs.
 #48 is just the kind of expression when a young one as you say.... >>get 
beached at grown-up events<<<

They are there but really would like to be some where else, so cling tight 
to a parent or grandparent. At least they know whom they've got a grab on. 
Some what like a "security blanket." :-)

#49. Love it!!! :-) Such nice friendly expressions. They create a feeling 
you want to go up, introduce yourself and begin a good old fashion chin wag 
with them.  Subject not relevant just life in general.

And I'd bet a hundred dollars between them they've an amazing past to talk 
about. They sure beat the scowls we encounter some times when photographing 
strangers. :-(
