Subject: [Leica] candle, M8 and 50mm Summilux-ASPH

After seeing the other candle shots, I wondered what my camera and
lens would do. The candle was approximately 1 meter from the camera,
which was on a table top tripod. ISO 640. The 20 inch mark was at
the wick of the candle. The purple in the left lower quad is from a
purple covered book on knitting. I had not noticed this until I
downloaded to the computer. The lens was at f1.4 and was focused on
the wick of the unlit candle and on the flame as best as I could. I
think that the ASPH Summilux does better than the Noctilux in the other
photos.
