That's silly, Philippe, of course it's fine for Flickr. Talk about
elitest! It has the advantage of being VERY easy for uploading and
it's cross-linking and community creation are just fine. It also
allows you to post a large image if you're of such a mind to do so and
have it available for download.
I am not a fan of the LUG's chosen software for posting images. I
found it awkward an unintuitive and I've never gone back but I have
other resources for posting images and use those.
But putting down Flickr because the rabble posts there isn't nice or
thoughtful.
