Subject: [Leica] M8 and the collapsible elmar?

I would love to use a collapsible 50mm elmarit on my M8 but checking
into this suggests that collapsibles are a big no-no.
IE, the back of the lens may hit the shutter.

Is this so? I don't want to push it and break my M8.
