Not to rain on the parade, my issue with the "Compact external finder" on a
IIIc is that the 35mm finder is large and expensive (SBLOO, I think).

My favourite LTM's are the Ia and standards, and a return to guess focusing.
I too have a IIIc with a sometimes finnicky low speed shutter.

Thanks, Len, A good candidate for a 35 then. Not to exclude the fifty.
There's a lot to be said for a compact external finder with this kind of
lens, I think.
I've now successfully loaded the 111c a dozen times with no issues at all.
That's pleasing. Just do it with care and the correct sequence. No problem
so far.
