For me the fabrics are a bit strange: hard to work out their relationship
and therefore extraneous to the action. The crop works well, but of course
as you point out the band of bright light does draw the eye away a bit.
BUT I think its works, if only to emphasis the environment she is in, the
relative darkness of the room etc. I was commenting to Helen that I am
slower to bend down to take images these days, but this is one I might
have wished I'd "bent zee knees".
