Hi Hoppy,

I've missed this one

I like very much the composition, on my monitor it seems a little
overexposed...

Saludos cordiales
Luis

Vick, as noted by Len, I'm a huge fan of the 2.0 28 asph on my M7. I hope to
try it on an M8 at some point. My experience with it has been shooting
Velvia 100F and only a little b&w. I consider it gives superbly sharp and
saturated images. If I was shopping now, I'd certainly look at the 2.8 28
asph which has since been released. I have no personal experience with the
earlier (non-asph) Elmarit. We have seen some superb results from them on
the list. I would never part with my current lens though.

We had a thread or two on vignetting with the retrofocus type designs a
little while ago. It might be worth a look in the archives?
I haven't tried any of the Leica 35's although I am aiming to get the 2.0 35
asph, when I can. I currently have a Voigtlander Skopar
35 which is good value for money but not comparable.

Cheers
Hoppy

Hmmm. Debating between getting a 35 vs 28. Not easy to choose.

The 28mm f2 ASPH seems hard to find.

Hi Vick,

I know that Hoppy has that lens and just loves it. My son has it as well and
uses it all the time. I use the 28mm Elmarit, non-Asph. I love the
perspective it gives me. It's also a very sharp lens. I don't know about the
new one.
