True! A couple of years ago I went into a neighborhood jewelry store. Saw
a couple of *really* attractive women in there shopping but didn't give it a
lot of thought and left after a few minutes. The next day I learned that
the women I saw were Charlize and her assistant, in town for a shoot. But
I'm not too good at recognizing celebs. A few days ago I bumped into a
woman coming out of a store. We exchanged a few words and a laugh and I
went on into the store. The owner then told me that the woman I had spoken
to was Amy Adams, an Oscar nominee for her 2005 role in the film "Junebug."
I had no clue, though I had seen the film and loved her performance.

Albuquerque is a growing film-making location so the chances of seeing a
notable in the 'hood are relatively good. One of my friends is a Screen
Actors Guild member and regularly gets hired to read (rehearse) scripts with
visiting stars, including (recently) Charlize Theron and Mariah Carey. He
goes up to their hotel room and they open a bottle of wine and read scripts
for two hours, and he gets *paid* for it. A picture of the lucky SOB is
here: http://pswango.smugmug.com/gallery/1857176#93222052

BTW, he had really nice things to say about Charlize.
