In the flatbed arena, I've heard Good Things about the Epson Perfection
V750-M Pro.  But nearly as good things about the V700, for 2/3 the
price.  Got no personal observations about 'em though.  (Yet..?)  People
don't feel too bad about scanning their medium-format fillum on these.
