The local economy of Charwelton, like many villages in Northamptonshire, is 
under threat. Typically the villages have had to put
up with the closure of the local shop, the bakery, the Post Office and in 
some extreme cases the pub. Even churches often have to
'share' a vicar with an adjacent village.

Charwelton is fighting back and the Parish Council anxiously awaits a 
decision on its application for Spa status.
