I hardly use my prisms for my Hasselblads and Rolleiflex TLR.
So I can use a waist level tripod. I love waist level folding finders. Which
I could get one for my Leica.

So its always what you don't think.

My tripod for eye level viewing 35mm has to cost twice as much as the little
Gitzo sport I can use for waist level medium format shooting. As its got to
have twice the specs being twice as high. Almost.

I use old metal Gitzos with Optech foam leg warmer things.

I also have a slightly overbuilt Reis wood tripod which is inconvenient as
the head platform is too big for most heads. Still in Portland the only
tripod I've got here so far is my Sport.

Most people will put down tripods use because they've never had a tripod to
use they didn't have to stoop over. My sport for 35mm use is almost in that
category. You've got up use the center post too much.
I think a tripod is ideal if you barley have to use your center post.
