They didn't live in litigious times!  I have model releases for most 
of my photos, but I'm very seldom asked for them.  Most of my photos 
are editorial rather than commercial but they have been used on the 
cover of books and magazines, which has recently been reclassified as 
commercial because the covers are used to sell the book or magazine 
:-(  I would love not to have to ask for and keep up with all of 
these model releases but you never know these days when you'll get 
sued.  It's better to be safe than sorry.
