Hi Mehrdad,
From my day's shooting I didn't find any focusing incompatibility
between the E 1 and the Leica zoom. I think the problem for my friend
is that the focus point button is near where be puts his right thumb
when holding the camera. In the heat of the moment I think he may
shift the focus point and not noticing the shift he keeps aiming with
the middle point while actually focusing with the right or left
point. This tendency has caused him to think there might be a
compatibility problem about focusing but I couldn't find it. Based on
my day's shooting I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the lens - it
produces first rate pictures.
Cheers
Howard (in Hong Kong)
