Subject: [Leica] M8 trials and tribulations?
From: bampolsk at mac.com (Brian Ampolsk)

I have loved using my M8 and have not encountered any of the problems
others have discussed. I just received my 28 Summicron back from
Leica, newly 6 bit encoded. I took it out for a spin in Fairmount
Park yesterday and here are a couple of the results:

Note the exif data on the previous photo: 16/12003. Roughly
translates to 1/750. I guess aperture priority is really precise
(however, the next photo exif data is 1/1000.). Also, It;s
surprising to me that Leica does not include aperture setting with
its data. Or is this something not in the Exif standard (I've just
started paying attention to this).
