Chris,

have not had any problem with the S-C-M switch moving from the setting i set 
it at.  However, the lens thing is important to me, not that the Nikon glass 
is inferior as it is not.  But I have little nikon glass and what i do have 
is all slow glass, and i have found for the type of shooting i do the af is 
a real negative, and yes it can be turned off but there is still the slow 
speed issue.  On the other hand my R glass is all 2.8 or faster and it would 
be real nice to be able to use it.  yes i could have bought the Canon body, 
but i do not like the operation of the canon bodies andcontrols compared to 
the nikon bodies and controls.
