Len do NOT do that. You will drive yourself crazy. They are not 
translations of each other.

? = a long "o" (as in "oh my ...")
? = the sound of the first vowel in "feather". A little more open, but 
that's close enough.
? = something like "ups" as in "ups-a-daisy". I really can't find an 
English sound close to it.
