Click went my mind instead of the shutter. So the only filters I can  
"accurately" apply after the exposure are those that alter the  
balance of the Bayer RGB filters. "Pure" red, or green, or blue  
should work. A linear combination of "Pure" red or green or blue as  
defined by the Bayer filters on a specific camera should also work.  
Some non-linear combinations could be handled by curves of RGB. But a  
filter that cuts a weird selective swath across RGB must go before  
the lens - like polarizers, or gradations, or -- what else?
