My Grandma on my father's side was part Native American (from
Oklahoma), though she denied it with extreme prejudice. She looked
sort of like Sitting Bull. When she moved to San Diego in the 20's,
nobody thought she was Indian, but Mexicans regularly started up
conversations in Spanish, which pissed her off even more. Well, I seem
have inherited her Asian lack of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, I don't
go berserk on whiskey, but it takes only one swallow of lite beer to
turn me bright red.

I got every treatment conceivable for rosacea, but none worked. My
dermatologist finally diagnosed me as have a rosy complexion. I even
got my entire face blasted by some sort of cold laser by a plastic
surgeon. Got rid of the enlarged capillaries, but not the "blush".
