Hi, Matthew -

Since it was made of 5 shots, I don't think it's vignetting but just 
the natural darker blue sky where there is no smoke.  I don't do 
anything for UV/IR.  I have the free filters from Leica but haven't 
tried them yet.  I did use a polarizing filter on some of these M8 
photos, but not this one.
