Hi Bob,

Beside my preference and natural tendence for the old or classical lenses,
this time, for me the better is the picture of the Guitar builder, I like
very much too the picture of your friend Martin.

Saludos cordiales
Luis

Folks -

Shot some B&W over the past couple of weeks and was thinking about many
things I've gleaned from a number of LUG participants. I'm getting
dangerously close to settling on Neopan 400 in Xtol (at either 1:2 or 1:3)
as my default M load, and the collapsible 'cron is currently a front runner
for the delineating device. There seems to be a graceful character about
the transition from the intended focus plane on outward. As much as I often
cast aside the seemingly sentimental waxings of those who champion them
old-school lenses I must say that I feel somewhat susceptible to a certain
graceful ease of imaging. Here's a quick sample of stuff; the shot of
guitar builder Ken Parker (someone with whom I work regularly) was shot with
my regular working axe (Canon 20D) with a 50 1.8 Canon EF. The other three
are of a more personal nature; they may therefore be of little interest to
anyone other than myself. yet these kindof more intimate snaps are just the
thing that the collapsible/film combo seems to deliver so well, to my eyes
(all from the Neopan 400 roll developed in Xtol 1:2).
