They look to be having a great time. Nice shot. Does the original show
more detail of the engine in the shadow?

In 1977, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) of Oshkosh, WI
furnished its replica of the Spirit of St. Louis and a support aircraft, a
1932 Stinson SM-8A, for a commemorative tour of the US in honor of the 50th
anniversary of Charles Lindbergh's solo trip from New York to Paris. The
primary pilot for the tour, Verne Jobst, flew more hours in the replica
than Lindbergh did in the original Spirit of St. Louis.

When the tour reached Tullahoma, TN, the engine was in need of some tender
loving care, and a local, long-time A&P mechanic, Wayne Amelang, changed a
cylinder and performed an inspection to keep the tour going. In the linked
photo, Wayne is the one on the right, along with an unknown member of the
tour group, shown in the midst of their work.
