Tom Murtha began using his skin as canvass in 1954 when he got back from
Korea. Significant events from that time as a Navy Corpsman and from his
life in the early sixty's as a Marine in Vietnam are marked in ink. His
bronze star, his purple heart, the units he served with, and those he
lost. On his chest it says "Not all wounds are visible." The wars have
never left Tom.
