Hoppy,
Tell your partner to do the math.  What is the breakeven point in
rolls/processing per year?  I think that an M8/any digital for anyone who
shoots is a no brainer.  The arguments prior to the M8 were all about Leica
blowing the technicals and then we spent months wallowing in the IR stuff.
At the end of the day, the M8 does an awesome job with a few glitches just
like any other camera.
