Not to take anything away from the users of said camera, but that D3
must be quite a camera. Every image I've seen that was taken by one
(many of which are yours) looks impressive.

BTW, very nice presentation on the web, too!

Okay, not really.

My wife and I walked down to the local bookstore(a real local store, not
the B&N) today to see Alton Brown (Good Eats and Iron Chef TV Host). He
was signing his new book "Feasting on Asphalt", which follows the story
of the TV series of the same name that Alton did last year. They started
in New Orleans and went up North along the Mississippi River on
motorcycles looking for local recipes and food.

We noticed he was taking photos with everyone so it seemed no problem to
get some shots with him when it was our turn. So we get up there,
extremely nice guy, signs the books and one of the assistants says she
would take a photo with my camera so we both can be in the shot. Well,
keep in mind I have my D3 with 28-70/2.8 with me, but she says no
problem. I put the camera on AF-C and high speed 11fps just to make sure
she will get the shot for us.

Click,click,click,click,click,click,click.............. she's nailing
it! Alton starts to laugh at how large and fast the camera is. So he
starts to shoot self portraits with it! This is just too hilarious! I
make sure I sneak in a few frames with my ugly mug.

So here's a slideshow of today, complete with Alton's self portraits.

As we're leaving he tells me Ansel would not approve of that type of
photography.
