Subject: [Leica] Is there a Wordpress guru in the house?

Gary, Clayton

Thanks of the ideas - and also to Brian who responded off list.

I've solved the problem.

I logged onto my MySQL admin page at my ISP and looked at the individual
tables in the Wordpress database.

One of the tables is called "wp_options" and one of the entries in that
table is entitled "site url". This had a value of "
http://www.steveunsworth.co.uk/PAW_blog/?page_id=2";.

I manually removed "?page_id=2" from the end of the field and everything now
works. Brian pointed out the "?page_id=2" in one of the URLs and I knew that
the various options had to be stored in the database somewhere, so it was a
question of finding the table and then looking at the various records.

I think Wordpress appends the individual pages to the value contained in
"site url", and of course with the value before I updated it none of them
existed, hence the broken blog. The problem was that I couldn't get into the
Wordpress admin panel to amend any of the settings - hence I had to do it by
hand.

Thanks again, hope that made sense.

Steve
