Ira, they are very interesting detail studies. I especially like the Curtis
Robin C-1 shot.

These are all unconventional pictures of (mostly) American vintage
aircraft, 
all taken to emphasize a particular characteristic of that bird.   I say 
mostly, because this specific Hanriot, although French built, was  brought
to 
states by French WW1 Ace Charles Nungesser and used in various  films.
Nungesser 
and co-pilot Francois Coli were lost trying to fly the  Atlantic westbound
at 
the same time Lindbergh took off on his famous  flight.

All were taken with the M4, 90mm Tele-Elmarit on Tri-X, with some cleanup
of 
the backgrounds in Photoshop.
